Our Wine Of The Week is Line 39 2016 Excursion Red Blend, a blend of Petit Verdot, Petitie Sirah, Zinfandel and Merlot grown in the northern San Joaquin Valley region of California (Lodi area). 2016 is the inaugural release for Excursion, which joins Line 39’s family of $8-$15 varietals that include Cabernet Sauvigon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Petite Sirah, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinto Grigio.
Excursion delivers on taste with dark fruit, spice and subtle hints of cocoa. An excellent sipper for holiday parties that also pairs well with beef and lamb dishes. Alcohol is 13.5%. Retails around $9. Line 39 wines are widely distributed, but if you can’t find them in your local grocery store or wine shop, find a retailer using their handy Retail Locator.
Line 39 Wines are produced by O’Neill Vintners & Distillers, producers of several national wine brands and providers of custom label and bulk wines.
