Wine Stories is an exciting new monthly feature launching today on Wine Adventure Journal. Do you enjoy short fiction or personal experience stories in which wine, wine tasting, wine travel or other aspects of the world of wine and adjacent amusements play a featured role? We’ll be publishing a selected wine story each month that we hope you’ll enjoy with a glass or your favorite sip.
Authors writing in all genres are encouraged to submit short stories, passages from longer works, or tales of personal experiences in which wine-related topics are featured. Pieces should be 2,000 to 5,000 words in length and meet WAJ’s publishing guidelines. Click to view Submission Guidelines and upload stories.
Our first Wine Stories tale, appropriately entitled Initiation, is a short story by Northern California wine country author John Cordon. Everyone’s wine journey has a beginning, though some are more memorable than others. Initiation recounts the author’s first visit to a Napa Valley tasting room, where he received his first lesson in wine tasting, met some delightful characters and experienced the playful antics that go on rountinely in the world of wine and adjacent amusements. Cheers!
