Bistro Don Giovanni (aka “Don Gio”) is a favorite with Napa Valley visitors and locals, considered by many to serve the best Italian food in the area. It’s easy to find – drive north out of Napa on Highway 29 and look on the right for Howard Lane just as you leave town. Don Gio is on the corner of Highway 29 and Howard. There is plenty of parking, but I recommend reservations because tables fill up quickly regardless of the time of year.
The menu offers classic Italian dishes influenced by in-season local ingredients. The bar is a destination by itself and serves a wide range of classic and specialty cocktails. The wine list provides numerous options for sipping and food pairing.
Seating is indoor or outdoor, surrounded by Napa Valley vineyards on most sides.
Corkage fee is $20 per 750ml bottle you bring in, but they’ll waive one corkage fee for each bottle purchased from the restaurant, up to six bottles (verify with your server).
