Our July Featured Destination is Vintner’s Golf Club, a charming nine hole golf course walking distance from downtown Yountville in Napa Valley. This gem is outlined by stands of beautiful trees silhouetted against eastern slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains.

There is much more to do in Napa Valley than tasting great wine and eating, so pack your clubs! Many fine golf courses in the area are open to outside play and getting in a quick nine holes after sleeping in still leaves plently of daylight for other activities. A foursome of golf at Vintner’s Golf Club doesn’t cost much more than a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from many of the nearby world-class wineries. Typical playing time for a round of nine at Vintner’s is about 2 hours.

In the clubhouse, the Lakeside Grill (and bar) is a favorite breakfast and lunch stop with players and locals. Great food, friendly service. Typically serves breakfast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 1pm and lunch every day 11am to 3pm. Check their web site for current schedule.
