Gotts Roadside St Helena Napa Valley at nightOur January featured destination is Gott’s Roadside in Napa Valley, on Highway 29 in St. Helena. Napa County restaurants are, as I write this, closed for dining-in and establishments that can are adjusting their menus to accommodate take-out and delivery customers.

Fortunately, Gott’s has always been a take-out place, even though lots of seating is normally provided out front along the street and in the large area behind the kitchen. When I had my last lunch of 2020 at Gott’s yesterday, the seating areas were closed and they offered take-out and delivery only. I ate my California Burger, onion rings and chocolate shake in my car and each was fantastic. Note: Wine and beer are also available at Gott’s.

I predict Gott’s will survive the multiple lock-downs that are putting many, many California restaurants out of business permanently – including some in Napa Valley. Today, the lines are shorter at Gott’s because the usual crush of tourists is greatly diminished. But the menu remains the same and I urge you to stop in for great food and top-notch service.
