Fifth Wine Wednesday Of ChristmasWelcome to the Fifth Wine Wednesday of Christmas! In this installment of Twelve Wine Wednesdays Of Christmas we’re presenting Wine-Opoly, a board game for Wine Adventurers. If you’re looking for something different, something fun, something that doesn’t run on batteries, a thoughtful gift or a fun game to keep at home for entertaining friends – this is it!

If you liked the original Monopoly game, you’ll find play of this game equally exciting and the method of play is very similar. Players move around the board according to the roll of the dice and land on properties named for wine grapes instead of streets. Players can buy spaces the same as Monopoly properties and develop them by adding wine shops and wineries to increase rents paid by other players when they land on your property.

Like traditional Monopoly, this game can be played until one player accumulates all the assets and is named the winner. The game can also run for a specific period of time, typically an hour, after which each player tallies the total value of their assets and the player with the most assets wins.

Bottle player pieces depicted in photo above have been replaced by metallic pieces shown in the video in the current version of the game – wine barrel, cork, cheese slice, decanter, grape cluster and wine glass. Of course, you can use your own player piece as long as it fits on the board and no other players object. Use the Amazon.com link (right) to order and enjoy!
