Hanna Winery has one of the most well-placed hillside tasting rooms in the rolling hills of Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley. Photographs don’t accurately capture the beauty of the view experienced from the deck on this warm and friendly stop on Highway 128, which links the Geyserville/Healdsburg area to Calistoga in northern Napa Valley.

Hanna Winery may be best known for its Sauvignon Blanc, a fruity (heavy citrus) wine available in Costco and other retailers for about $10. On this visit, I tried the Classic Tasting from the menu below, which started with Sauvignon Blanc and includes Russian River Chardonnay, a very nice Pinot Noir (my favorite wine in the flight) and Estate Cabernet Sauvignon.

Staff are friendly and helpful, lean into the bar or find a table inside or on the deck overlooking the valley. A great stop on the Highway 128 wine trail.

See map below for location.
