Recent wildfires have caused horrific damage and loss of life in northern California’s wine country, including Sonoma, Napa, Solano, Lake and Mendocino Counties. As one who enjoys living and working in the area, I stand committed to work with others in and outside the community to speed recovery and restoration. Please support organizations that are helping with the effort, e.g. Napa Community Foundation, American Red Cross Of Sonoma, Mendocino & Lake Counties and others. Join me in doing what you can.
Over the next few months I will be stepping up our effort to identify Wine Country destinations open for business and add more of them to our Destinations Directory. Members of the wine industry are pitching in to help their neighbors and fellow wine producers, so I urge everyone to continue patronizing wine businesses located in the effected areas. As roads re-open and air quality improves throughout the region, visit some of your favorite wine destinations and discover new ones.
If you are a wine industry business or in a related industry located in fire damaged or threatened areas – here’s a freebie for you. We recently began offering sponsorship space (paid advertising) on this site for the first time to cover costs to upgrade functionality. We’ll be doing upgrades by the end of the year, but until December 31st any wine industry business located in the five counties mentioned above is offered a FREE Red level sponsorship, which includes a bunch of stuff you can read about here: Sponsor Wine Adventure Journal. Sponsorship drives traffic to your website and to your doorstep for the purpose of increasing your sales. Just click on that link and contact me using the form on that page. Please note – a listing in our Wine Destinations Directory is always free no matter where you are, as long as your business fits directory criteria.
Again, please support organizations helping with wine country recovery and BUY CALIFORNIA WINE!
