Strange Brew (1983) is a comedy classic that follows Canadian brothers as they pursue a steady supply of beer. The film stars Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas, with Max Von Sydow playing an evil Brew Master who is secretly plotting to take over the world. When the brothers discover what’s going on, the game begins.

This heavily Canadian cast pokes fun at stereotypes of Canadians and their love of beer, hockey, donuts and everything Canadian. If you hang out in bars very often, you’ll recognize much of the movie’s dialogue that has made its way into the mainstream vocabulary of beer lovers worldwide.
