Our Wine Of The Week is 2018 Vignoble Gibault Sauvignon Blanc Touraine Protégée, which is a 100% Sauvignon Blanc from France’s Loire Valley. Recommend adding this wine to your summer cellar, to pair with favorite foods or sip on warm afternoons.
The Loire Valley, southwest of Paris, is known for flinty and clay soils that produce Sauvignon Blanc that is smooth and refreshing. Serve Vignoble Gibault Sauvignon Blanc moderately chilled with chicken, shrimp or light fish. California retail is typically $15 – $20.
Vignoble Gibault consists of small vineyards covering approximately 74 acres, see Loire Valley vineyard region maps above and below.
Cheers!
