Our Wine Of The Week is 2020 Spottswoode Sauvignon Blanc. This wonderful wine from Spottswoode Estate Vineyards & Winery in St. Helena is produced with grapes grown 40% in Napa Valley and 60% in Sonoma County.
If you’re looking for an upright Sauvignon Blanc that’s light enough to sip on a warm afternoon or to pair with spicey summer dishes, this is one of the best California wines for the job. Perfectly balanced citrus and floral notes are the result of steel tank and oak barrel fermentation. Alcohol 13.8%, retails $40 – $45.
The Spottswoode tasting room (see map below) is a fun experience and should not be missed when visiting Napa Valley.
Cheers!
