Artezin 2014 Collins Vineyard Zinfandel Russian River ValleyOur Wine Of The Week is Artezin 2014 Collins Vineyard Zinfandel. This old vine Zin comes from Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley, a cool climate also known for producing outstanding Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Sonoma County wines are typically built to pour today, this one is ready now but could also be left waiting a year or two for equal or better enjoyment.

This full-bodied Zin is a claret-like blend of 94% Zinfandel and 6% Petite Sirah, giving it soft tannins and hints of dark fruits and berries, pepper and subtle influences from aging in French Oak. Alcohol is moderate at 14.9%. Retail: $36. Sip alone or pair with hearty meals.

Artezin produces wines with grapes grown in family vineyards in Sonoma County and Mendocino County in Northern California.
