Our Wine Of The Week is Catena Malbec 2018 from the Mendoza region of Argentina (map below). This 100% Malbec was harvested from three mountain vineyards (ranging from 3,500 to 4,700 feet) by Catena Zapata, a leader in development of high elevation grape farming and producer of high quality Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Chardonnay.

Dark fruit and lavender aromas, fresh fruit with integration of oak that provides a smooth finish. Enjoy with grilled meats and poultry.

Recent vintages earned 90 to 94 point ratings (2018 – 94 points) from major critics and should be enjoyed young. 13.6% alcohol and widely available at about $20 retail. Over 2 million bottles produced.
