Dominique Cornin 2013 Pouilly-Fuissé Clos RéyssiéOur Wine Of The Week is Dominique Cornin 2013 Pouilly-Fuissé Clos Réyssié, a Chardonnay from the Mâconnais region of southern Burgundy. The best Chardonnay is grown in Pouilly-Fuissé, a cluster of communities where hillside vineyards with clay and limestone soils produce wines with distinct minerality often fermented in steel tanks. The 2013 was aged on fine lees to add texture and produce wine great for sipping or pairing. I enjoyed this bottle with a meal of escargot in garlic oil and fresh halibut.

You may find citrus and wildflowers on the nose with a slight hint of vanilla, stone fruit and spice on the palate. Alcohol is 13.%. The 2013 vintage is not always easy to find, but the 2016 is very similar and available in wine shops and on Wine.com at around $30, check out their current price: Dominique Cornin 2016 Pouilly-Fuisse – Chardonnay White Wine

Cheers!
